    What makes an invitation "animated"?

An animated digital invitation does not appear all at once. It opens. Your guest taps the link and first sees an envelope, a door, a wax seal or a curtain; a moment later it opens and the invitation is revealed, often with music starting in the background. It takes only a couple of seconds, but it turns a link in a chat into something that feels like receiving a card.

On Davetiyelink the animation is part of the template. You do not need any design or video skills: choose a template with an animated opening, add your texts and photos, and the opening works on its own.

    The openings available

    • Envelope: the classic choice. The flap opens and the invitation slides out. Used in wedding templates such as Pudra Gül & Altın and Zümrüt, and in the Çini & Nazar circumcision template.
    • Door: an embossed, arched or split door opens to reveal the invitation – for example in Pudra Gül Kabartma, Adaçayı & Altın, Fildişi & Altın and the Şehzade Taç circumcision template.
    • Wax seal: the seal breaks and the card opens, as in İvory & Şampanya Gül.
    • Curtain: a velvet curtain rises, as in the Bordo & Altın Kına template for henna nights.

Templates with an animated opening carry a badge in the gallery, so they are easy to spot.

Movement that helps, movement that gets in the way

A good animation makes guests curious and then gets out of the way. That is why the openings on Davetiyelink are short – around two to three seconds – and can be skipped. A few details are handled automatically:

    • The opening plays once per browser session. A guest who opens the link again to check the address goes straight to the information.
    • If a guest has reduced motion turned on in their phone settings, the opening is skipped.
    • A visible sound button lets guests turn the music off at any time.

What matters after the opening is clarity: names, date, time and venue should be readable at a glance. The animation is the welcome, not the content.

    Which opening suits which celebration?

There is no rule, but some combinations feel natural. An envelope or a wax seal suits a classic wedding or engagement. A door works well for grand, formal celebrations, and it is a popular choice for circumcision celebrations. A curtain sets the scene for a henna night, where the evening itself feels like a performance. If your celebration is relaxed and modern, a calm template without an animated opening may suit you better – that is a perfectly good choice too.

Music: the sound of your invitation

Music starts when the guest opens the invitation. You can pick one of four ready-made instrumental tracks or add a link to a song on YouTube or an mp3 file. You can also continue without music.

Three questions help when choosing a song:

    1. Does it fit the first seconds? The opening and the first bars should feel like one moment.
    2. Will it still sound good to guests who listen on a phone speaker?
    3. Would your grandparents and your friends both be comfortable hearing it?

A short note on copyright: if you use a song that is not one of the provided tracks, make sure you are allowed to use it. The ready-made instrumental tracks avoid that question.

    Test before you share

Before you send the link to a hundred people, open it yourself on your phone, ideally on both an iPhone and an Android device, and send it to one or two friends. Check that the music starts as expected, the opening is not too long for your taste, and the date and address are correct. The preview in your panel shows the animation and music exactly as guests will see them.

    Animated invitation or video invitation?

They are different things. A video invitation is a finished film: guests watch it, but they cannot tap a map, reply or leave a message, and every change means editing the video again. An animated digital invitation is a live page. After the opening it offers a map, a schedule, an RSVP form, a memory wall and a guest book, and you can update any detail without sending a new link. If you have a short video of the two of you, you can still share it alongside the invitation.

    More than the opening

Behind every animated opening is a complete invitation: a countdown to the day, the programme of the event, a map with directions, an RSVP form with headcount, a memory wall and guest book, and photo collection by QR code. You can also upload your own background image. If your guests speak different languages, choose a Turkish, English or German guest interface and write your texts in two languages.

Yes. Music starts when the guest opens the invitation, and a sound button turns it off at any time.

Does the opening keep guests waiting?

No. It lasts about two to three seconds, can be skipped, and plays once per browser session.

Is a video invitation the same thing?
